Bet he wishes he could retract those comments now.<br /><br />Thank god, like the US, Australia had its own change of leadership earlier this year...and both the current PM and the opposition leader gave statements congratulating President Obama on a historic victory =) =)<br /><br />and I'm over the moon. YAYyayYAYyayYAY. Didn't believe it would happen. Firstly, never ever thought we, the world, would see the end of the Bush administration...its been a looong time coming but it feels GOOD! Secondly, only a few years ago, if you had asked me if I had thought America would be ready for a black president in the near future, i would have said NO. Heck, 7 months ago I would have said no. I did not believe America would vote for a black man with a muslim sounding name..but America proved me wrong. And I'm so glad it did!!<br /><br />YES WE CAN! That is stuck in my head.
